This AH-1F model was designed to fit 60~90 size Xcell 60 Standard & SE series mechanics but will also fit Century Predator series and the Trex 700. Due to the very narrow fuselage width, the model is designed to have the muffler exhaust installed outside the fuselage side in place of one of the rocket pods on the inboard wing store. This is not scale, but is a perfectly good solution for glow powered mechanics. Electric models are perfectly suited to the narrow Cobra and we have included the magnetic bottom hatch to access the power battery. New in this fuselage is completely scale Aluminum tubular landing gear to complete it's scale appearance. The Cobra is one of the most popular military fuselages available and our Cobra includes every scale detail pictured in this section. Each kit includes the TSU (telescopic sight unit), 20mm three-barrel cannon, 7 tube FFAR rocket launchers and Tow missile launchers.
The Cobra will accommodate up to a rotorspan of 61" [156.0cm] but due to its lightwight, can accept smaller or electric 60 class mechanics. In choosing a mechanics, not all 60-90 class will fit with a full cockpit. In general we recommend a rear mounted engine, commonly used for 3D aerobatics. The FAI mechanics layout normally positions the engine facing forward will work in our fuselage, but you will not be able to fabricate a scale cockpit. Every detail shown in this section is included with the fuselage. New modelers should be aware that between opening your new AH-1F Cobra fuselage and finishing the model can take between 4 to 6 weeks, depending on how much time you can commit to building and finishing.
